HGG Programs

We are committed to providing quality care and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children as they explore their environments, engage with peers, and are supported by caregivers through a play-based approach.

The Infant Program is located in our Room 1 Classroom. This program is divided into two groups that work closely together to give quality care to your children as they adjust to being newcomers in the world. The teachers in our Infant Classroom, Room 1 (Crawlers): Sprouts, are tasked with meeting the developmental needs of each of the children while slowly getting them accustomed to being in a school environment as well as becoming comfortable with a consistent routine. Room 1 (Walkers): Saplings, allows the children to transition to a more structured routine and learning experiences. Developing their motor skills is also an important component of this program. These children are being prepared to transition to our Younger Preschool Program. These children are provided with care by a teaching team whose educational focus was primarily on Infant/ Toddler care.

Ages 6 weeks to 14 months (and walking)

Ages 14 months (and walking) - 2 Years Old

Our Toddler Program, Room 2: Oaks is adjacent to our Younger Preschool Program, Room 3: Cedars. These programs are designed to gently transition young children from Infant/Toddler care to preschool. These programs emphasize essential self help skills, including hygiene and developing self-regulation through verbal and coping skills. The teaching teams support toilet training readiness and toilet training, which are determined after speaking with parents. The children experience a consistent routine, providing opportunity for both large and small group activities that are age and developmentally appropriate. These children also engage in age-appropriate Bible stories and worship times.

Ages 18 months to 30 months

Two Year Olds

Our Older Preschool Program consists of Room 5: Pines and Room 6: Redwoods Classrooms. Children in these classes must be potty trained. This program combines fun and age-appropriate learning activities that aid in developing their cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language abilities, enabling them to make sense of the world. The children also experience age-appropriate Bible learning and worship. The teaching teams strive to enhance each child’s learning experiences in all areas of development so that each child is prepared to enter their next level of learning.

Three Year Olds

Four Year Olds

Our Kindergarten Prep program, previously known as TK, is in Room 4: Sequoias Classroom. The goal of this program is to prepare our children to transition into Kindergarten, just as TK or Transitional Kindergarten would. This classroom is for children 4 and older. We combine both children that qualify for TK, turning 5 after September 1st, and for children 4 and older whose parents would like their child to experience learning in-line with preparation for Kindergarten. Keeping in mind our philosophy is learning through play, children in this program are provided with activities that develop their abilities in the areas of pre-reading, pre-math, and writing skills. Children grow in confidence, their communication skills, Bible lessons, and worship.
